Monterosso al Mare actually consists of two district area: The Old Town and the New Town.
The old town is located south of the castle and features a number of attractions including Piazza Garibaldi and a couple of old churches.
The Old Town at Monterosso al Mare
The two churches in town are St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Cappuccin Monks.
Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Italian Riviera from the hilltop located on the south side of Monterosso.
